We know that the first rule in finding a good restaurant is to find one that is busy.... I should have followed this rule this evening. Hummingbird is new to the area and they have done a great job of the fitout of the building. Unfortunately you do not eat the fitout and it also adds no value to the quality of the house affogato. Another strange part of the Hummingbird experience is that they are trying to be a fine dining restaurant in a very casual area. I think they would be better off as a wine bar with a casual menu.

Anyway on to the important stuff.... how was the affogato? It was also strange and purple petals did not add to the experience. It also took far too long time to prepare. I rated this affo 2.3 out of 5. It did not help my addiction very much at all so back to taking affogatos one day at a time.
