Let me start by saying that this was unexpected. It was my first time in Russia and I had no expectations of finding an affogato let alone a good wine. The meal was fine and the wine surprisingly smooth.

They did not have an affogato on the menu but were most willing to make one. Usually, when they are created from a loose description of what they are, the result is very average. While this was by no means the best affogato I have tasted, it was acceptable to my refined affo palate or maybe it was just that I was in withdrawal after two weeks in Scandinavia without even attempting an affo.

It scored a 2.2 based on the taste.
